We collect information while you use our website, when you get in touch or when you sign up to our services. If you sign up to our email newsletter, we will collect your name and email address, which will be stored in our secure 3rd party Mailchip email newsletter system.

Through placing an order for delivery or collection over the telephone or our website, we will also collect your name, address, email and telephone number - these are used only for transactional purposes, but you will be given the option to register for our marketing communications at the same time as placing your order. These preferences can be updated at any time via  request at our website, or by emailing us at hello@amershamwine.com with your request.

We have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect. Any personal information is kept private and securely stored until a time it is no longer needed, or until you request that we remove it from our records. However, we will continue to hold indefinitely any transactional information, including contact details, on our database, as we are required to do so by law, although contact details can be changed on request at any time via the methods described above.

How might we use the information about you?

If you subscribe to our email newsletter, we will contact you by email with news, offers, events information and other updates we think you might be interested in from The Amersham Wine Company. Newsletters sent from our email service provider may record subscriber data relating to engagement. If you place an order on our website, we will use the details you provide to contact you by email or telephone in relation to your order.

Unsubscribing

We will NEVER rent, lease or sell this data to other companies or individuals. We will only transfer your personal information to a third-party if required by law to do so.

SMS/Whatsapp

We will not use these methods for marketing campaigns, but may use them for your delivery.   We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.

Security

Websale payments are processed by a 3rd party service provider who use encryption systems to ensure your credit card details are processed in a secure format. We use SSL encryption for all transmission of payment data.

We do not store any credit card details on our website or electronic databases. We will use reasonable endeavours to maintain appropriate security measures in it's facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that The Amersham Wine Company has collected from you.

We take appropriate measures to ensure that all personal data is kept secure including security measures to prevent personal data from being accidentally lost, or used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We limit access to your personal data to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although We will do Our best to protect your personal data, We cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted through any online means, therefore any transmission remains at your own risk.
